Description

A Spinning Dot Double Feature!

Our Youth Company presents
“The Boy at the Edge of Everything” from Tasmania
By Finegan Kruckemeyer
Directed by Kelly Joyce Fielder & Matthew Elijah Webb
In the middle of his over-scheduled 12-and-a-bit-year-old life, Simon Ives dreams of a place where he can just stop and be. Meanwhile, at the farthest point in the universe, The Boy at the Edge of Everything lives by himself, lonely and bored. When Simon is rocketed into space (through an unlikely series of events involving ‘lots and lots of fireworks’), their worlds collide and neither will ever be the same. Finegan Kruckemeyer’s award winning script is an imaginative adventure for all ages to enjoy.

Our Teen Apprentices present
“The Underground Library” from South Africa
By Jon Keevy
Directed by Jenny Sawtelle Koppera & Catherine Fritz
Khanya is on the verge of getting through matric and out into the world when she crosses path with a fugitive on dodging the cops. He gives her something forbidden in this future Johannesburg… a book. And inadvertently kicks off a race between government agents, terrorists and hackers to get control of the truth. Jon Keevy presents his new play for young adults, a dystopian action adventure inspired by the current political climate.

Both shows will be performed at the Riverside Arts Center, 76 N Huron St, Ypsilanti, MI 48197
