Clean up volunteers will meet at 8:45am on Saturday, May 17, at the Ford Lake Park boat launch. Volunteers can work from boats, canoes, or on shore. Clean up activities for the following areas:

- Island Park and shoreline
- North Bay Park and shoreline
- Ford Heritage Park (possibly)

While the MVVC has been proud to hold our Vintage Volkswagen Festival at the Volkswagen of America Headquarters, in 2003 we moved our event to a new location. We now hold our car show on a soft bed of grass, under mature shade trees, along a beautiful section of the Huron River--in Ypsilanti's Depot Town. As it is the second oldest city in the state of Michigan, this community is rich in its heritage. Ypsilanti is also a key point on the National Automotive Heritage Trail--so it is rich in automotive history as well!

Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature event that raises funds and awareness of cancer research and patient programs. For 24 hours, teams of family, friends and co-workers camp out, each taking turns walking a track or path. Now in it's 30th year, the Vintage Triumph Register National Convention is going back to it's roots in more ways than one. The VTR National Convention started as a Weekend get together between what is now the Illinois Sport Owners Association and the Detroit Triumph Sportcar Club. This get together grew into what was then known as the North American Triumph Challenge. The North American Triumph Challenge now returns to Southeast Michigan after a 24 year hiatus.

HERITAGE HOLIDAY HOME TOUR 2008

2002 was our first year for the Heritage Holidays. Visitors who braved the
cold were treated to historically narrated “Train” rides provided by the
local American Legion, historic home tours sponsored by Meals on Wheels and
a tree lighting ceremony replete with choirs, brass band and soloists at the
newly renovated Riverside Plaza.
The Annual Historic Home Tour is an event that
showcases many of the architectural treasures
tucked into the neighborhoods of Ypsilanti.

of which has been lovingly restored and
